Residential Conveyancing Solicitor

We have a role available for a Residential Property Solicitor on a full time, permanent basis. The full role will report into the Partner and Head of Department in the Residential Property Department.

The Residential Conveyancing Solicitor will be required to manage a full and varied caseload of Residential Property matters for clients who range from individuals to small businesses, with the support of a team of fee earner assistants and legal secretaries. Part time Secretary in the Finance and Administration Department (Stevenage)

The role is for a secretary in the Finance and Administration Department on a part time, permanent contract. The position reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

  • Liaising with the CEO and the Firm’s Accountants on Payroll issues and updates
  • Working with the CEO to assist with the preparation of Human Resource Documentation and formal correspondence
  • Assisting CEO with updating and loading the firm’s intranet site
  • Assisting the CEO with the management and organisation of facilities for the three offices
  • Assisting with management of Health and Safety requirements throughout the offices
  • Assisting the CEO with the firm’s policies and procedures to include attending meetings to type and prepare agenda’s minutes and then following up with updating policy and procedure documents
  • Filing and neat order of files and offices

Assisting the CEO as required on various other ad-hoc projects and work in the department such as assisting with any work required for, form completion such as PI renewal, insurances, contracts,  Lexcel and suppliers.

Part time Legal Secretary in the Commercial Property Department (Stevenage)

The role is for a legal secretary in the Commercial Property Department on a part time, temporary  contract. The role is to provide maternity cover for a period of three months. Depending on circumstances, at the end of the three month period, the role may extend beyond the initial three month contract.

The role will be to assist a busy legal team in the Commercial Property Department in day to day secretarial and administration work by providing support and assistance on:

  • Opening and closing files
  • Data entry onto case management system
  • Photocopying and preparation of bundles
  • Assisting the fee earning team with filing and organisation of files, cabinets and work stations
  • Providing secretarial support including audio typing using a digital dictation system to produce correspondence and other documentation relating to property transactions to include diary management
  • Being involved in maintenance of comprehensive and accurate client administration files
  • Assisting with online enquiries and searches on behalf of fee earners
