The role involves marketing and PR initiatives to build up the department with profitable work specialising in property litigation work and other areas. Commercial Property Paralegal 

We have a role available for a commercial property paralegal on a full time, permanent contract. The position reports into the Partner and Head of Department in the Commercial Property Department.

The Paralegal role will involve supporting the solicitors within the department on a number of matters including:

  • With supervision of the Head of Department managing own caseload of landlord and tenant matters
  • Assisting with title due diligence and reporting, including the submission, collation and review of searches and enquiries
  • Assisting with the formulation and engrossment of contractual documentation
  • Managing with supervision the negotiation of commercial leases, licences deeds of surrender and variation
  • Reporting on forms of commercial leases
  • Provide answers to incoming queries from clients in a precise and timely manner

Commercial Property Legal Secretary

The role is for a legal secretary in the Commercial Property Department on a full time (or will consider part time), permanent contract. The position reports to the Head of the Commercial Property Department.

The role will be to assist a busy legal team in the Commercial Property Department in day to day secretarial and administration work by providing support and assistance on:

  • Opening and closing files
  • Data entry onto case management system
  • Photocopying and preparation of bundles
  • Assisting the fee earning team with filing and organisation of files, cabinets and work stations
  • Providing secretarial support including audio typing using a digital dictation system to produce correspondence and other documentation relating to property transactions to include diary management
  • Being involved in maintenance of comprehensive and accurate client administration files
  • Assisting with online enquiries and searches on behalf of fee earners
  • Assisting team members to include tasks such as meeting and greeting clients, taking calls and directing accordingly. Arranging meeting room bookings and preparing meeting rooms ready for meetings
  • Assisting fee earners where necessary on completion procedures and file closing and archiving procedures
  • Assisting when necessary for holiday cover in the department and for reception duties

The position reports to a senior General Litigation Solicitor and the Head of Department who manages the whole Family and Dispute Resolution work.

  • Volume typing and word processing
  • Managing the Case Management system
  • Casefile maintenance to include opening closing files
  • Dealing with telephone calls, queries, new instructions
  • Assisting with diary and document preparation for complaints and claims
  • Assisting with casefile compliance forms and procedures
  • Assisting with Reviewing casefiles and assessing deadlines
  • Assisting with preparing documents for counsel and clients
